For the first time, we’re embarking on a coast-to-coast live search in Los Angeles & New York to find the next fresh face of the big and small screen.

Role Description: Seeking and strongly encouraging performers who can portray ethnically diverse characters including, but not limited to, Black descent.

BRING: Current Headshot or Photo & Resume STAPLED BACK TO BACK.

PREPARE: Perform up to 2 Contemporary Monologues, each under 2 minutes in length, dramatic or contemporary in the tone of a film or TV audition- NOT a theatrical stage audition. Due to time limits, actors will begin by only performing 1 monologue.

WARNING: In order to see as many talented actors as possible, you will be timed and stopped if exceeding 2 minutes. You may be asked to return and perform again later in the day.

Nick Guerra was an audience favorite on NBC’s Last Comic Standing (Season 8). He was a writer, asst. director, actor and story producer for the Mun 2 reality show “Pitbull’s La Esquina” (2nd season), performed on Comedy Central’s “Gabriel Iglesias Stand Up Revolution” (2nd season) and Nuvo TV’s “Stand Up &Deliver” (2nd season) and “Stand Up & Deliver Cabo Relief Special.

Ricarlo Flanagan | Comedian

Ricarlo Flanagan is a rising talent from the Michigan comedy circuit. Born and raised in Cleveland OH, he’s developed a maniacal spin on everyday circumstances and combines sharp and accurate vocal impressions to surely give you the laugh you are looking for.

Privileged to have worked with some of comedy’s heavy hitters in various clubs around the country, he’s proud to have placed as a finalist in the prestigious “Laughing Skull Comedy Festival” (4th place overall). His recent audition for one of comedy’s biggest festival showcases at “Just For Laughs Montreal” and Gotham Showcase in New York city, Ricarlo is building a solid reputation as someone who will consistently entertain the masses.

Although he is a new face Ricarlo is certainly determined to provide an experience that will make an impact for years to come.

Lavar Walker | Comedian

Lavar Walker has appeared across the country, including gigs in Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, San Jose, Philadelphia, Nashville and too many other cities to name, while saturating the college circuit, gospel extravaganzas and corporate affairs. Add to that dozens of national television appearances, including Showtime’s “Shaq Allstar Comedy Jam,” Bounce TV’s “Uptown Comics” and Jamie Foxx’s “Laffapalooza!” Lavar is also the national winner of the miller lite 2012 comedy search hosted by Kevin Hart. In a Chicago sun-times article from 2013, comedian Kevin Hart said: “Remember the name Lavar Walker because I want to be able to say ‘I told you so!’ The guy is a legitimate comedic rock star.”

Langston Kerman | Comedian

Langston Kerman is a stand up comic, actor, tongue kisser and writer originally from Oak Park, IL, and now residing in Brooklyn, NY. He performs in clubs and dank backrooms all over the country. Langston was recently a finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival. Langston has also been featured as an actor on HBO and the Oxygen Network. He is currently costarring/writing/producing his own web series called BOMBING, which can be found on the very exclusive website YouTube (maybe you’ve heard of it). Langston wishes he had more credits to impress you with; unfortunately, he does not. Maybe you should just accept Langston for who he is as a person. He really is trying his best.

Katrina Braxton | Comedian

A born and raised Jersey Girl, Katrina Braxton has always loved making people laugh. After a dare from her father, Katrina did her first open mic at the Laughing Skull Comedy Club in Atlanta, GA. Not long after, Katrina was asked to return and feature at the Skull, as well as Improv and Punchline.

The self-described “Corny Black Girl”, Katrina keeps the crowd going with her high energy stand-up, which is a combination of life stories and hysterical impersonations.
Now in Philadelphia, Katrina continues to perform around the nation. In 2012, Katrina performed at the Essence Music Festival for TBS Very Funny Lounge, held inside the New Orleans Super Dome. Most recently, Katrina was named a semi-finalist in the 2014 Philly’s Funniest contest at Helium Comedy Club. She is happy she took her dad’s advice and is living her life dream to make people laugh.

Darcy Michael | Comedian

Widely considered to be one of Canada’s fastest rising stars, Darcy Michael is currently a leading character alongside Dave Foley in CTV’s multi-cam hit sitcom “Spun Out” as the loveable loser Gordon Woolmer.

Darcy’s edgy but personable stand up act has had him working alongside such great comedians as Russell Peters, Harland Williams, Kids in the Hall, Thomas Lennon, Craig Robinson, Alan Thicke and Matthew Perry. With countless appearances at the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival, the Montreal Gazette has pegged him as one of their favorites. Twice nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award, Darcy continues to make multiple appearances at Just for Laughs, Global Comedy Festival, Comedy Network’s Match Game, Winnipeg Comedy Festival and CBC Radio’s ‘The Debaters.‘

Aisha Alfa | Comedian

Born in Nigeria, raised in Canada, Aisha Alfa’s comedy is worldly, energetic, and silly. She weaves through her bi-racial perspective and random observations from dating to sex to Santa Claus. This past year in television Aisha appeared in a Sketch Pilot for The Second City, Superchanel’s “Too Much Information,” TeenNick’s “Degrassi,” and PBS’ “Odd Squad.” Aisha was also a Co-Host on Much Music’s “Video on Trial.” She’s hosted WFPtv, an online lifestyle show, and was a featured comedian in the documentary “Sign Up & Stand Up.”

She won “Winnipeg’s Funniest Person with a Day Job Award” and was one of the top five Winnipeg finalists for SiriusXM’s “Canada’s Next Top Comic.” She performs at clubs across Canada including “Just For Laughs,” Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and Winnipeg Improv Festival.

In the US she has appeared at The Comedy Store (San Diego), The Las Vegas Comedy Show and the Ventura Comedy Festival. Alfa was honoured as a TEDx Manitoba speaker in 2012 and hosted/emceed in 2013.
