From "Jess Salomon is a former UN war crimes lawyer turned stand up comic.

The Montreal Metro has called her comedy â??charming and intelligentâ?. She calls it â??raconteur-ish, personal, dirty on a good nightâ?. Her 93 year old grandmother calls it â??time to go back to law and find a husbandâ?.

A rising star on the Canadian comedy scene, Jess has quickly become a regular at clubs in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and New York City. She has produced and starred in two solo shows, Doing Good and Obsession, appeared on CBCâ??s George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight on Sun News Networkâ??s Straight Talk with Pat Bolland as a contributing pundit, and in major Canadian papers such as The Toronto Star, The Montreal Gazette and The National Post. Her festival credits include ZOOFEST (2013), Out of Bounds Comedy Festival (September, 2013) The She-Devil Comedy Festival (October, 2013), San Francisco Sketchfest (January, 2014) and the Laughing Skull Festival (March 2014).

Jess recently recorded her first TV special as part of the iChannelâ??s â??No Kiddingâ? series. You can also catch her in person at her monthly stand up showcase â??The Peoplâ??s Comedyâ? at Club Peopl the last Wednesday of every month in Montreal and hear her weekly segment â??Salomon Saysâ? Monday nights at 11 PM on CJAD 800 AM.

When sheâ??s not writing and performing Jess likes to check in with her old colleagues in The Hague. She enjoys hearing how sad the war criminals are without her observational wit and storytelling to keep them going. She believes they are jealous of her comedy audience and regret what they have done."
