The CAPE New Writers Fellowship is an intensive 8-week intensive program sponsored by NBCUniversal and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and facilitated by the Coalition of Asian Pacifics In Entertainment (CAPE). The fellowship is designed to provide aspiring Asian-Pacific American (APA) television and feature film writers, who are underrepresented in the mainstream market, with the creative and business tools needed to understand what leads to successfully purchased and produced film and television projects in Hollywood. The fellows will be better positioned to develop projects that are marketable while retaining their unique voices, stories, and points-of-view. The fellowship will not only help them perfect their craft but also acquire the tools to have long-lasting careers in entertainment. In addition to the training, each fellow will also receive a $1,500 stipend, the latest Final Draft software and exclusive opportunities to meet and network with top industry executives.
